We all love our computers, our tablets, iPads and other technology, however we believe that actually turning paper pages brings “touchable” joy to the lives of children. Remembering how our daughter sat amongst a stack of books, smiling as she turned the pages, enjoying the moment of discovery with each illustration. As a parent, those moments are just memories now, but those memories of joy and discovery are exactly why we chose to begin Green Star Publishing.

Providing parents with humble, yet imaginative content to be read and shared with their children is our goal. Short stories which provide morally sound messaging grounded in generations of experience as well as fun stories which follow the adventures and travels of Darko the Dog. This is our beginning. We hope that you join us on this adventure into providing your children the experience of turning pages and connecting with characters who will provide joy and meaningful messages.

Green Star Publishing will begin with a short-list of titles and expand to others. Our organization will be powered by the theme of “Read. Dream. Learn.” Reading engages the mind, expands knowledge, Dreaming enhances personal vision, happiness and goal setting, Learning elevates our life experience.

While many cannot experience a family farm, Darko the Dog, along with his friend June, will bring a bit of it into your living room; or while many no longer have Grandparents, Great Aunts or Uncles, our Gifts from Nana series will share gentle lessons based on generations of experience and deep love. The creation of our third series is now underway. Owen, the Shelf Elf. Owen, originally created in 2002, will surprise you with his imagination and pursuits.
